What does
„KFW55“
mean?

The „KfW55-Efficieny House“ is a technical Standard. The number indicates the annual primary energy requirement of the property. The lower, the better. Primary energy is the energy that must be supplied to the building from the outside, which mean a KfW55-House needs only 55% from the outside compared to a standard new building built according to the Energy Conservation Act. Axis needs 45% less energy for heating and hot water compared to a new building.

Waste water heat pump

Almost 40% of energy is used for room and water heating in Germany. Therefore, there is a great potential for savings. Which isn’t just environmentally responsible, it‘s even economically meaningful: in times of rapidly rising prices for oil and gas, the use of renewable energy has become a computing task. The solution at Axis is the waste water heat pump. Therefore, we installed one of the biggest waste water heat pumps in the world in Axis. And the result can be seen: the waste water heat pump produces 440kW heat output and tempered close to a 100% of the apartment. There is nothing better.
